To create an enterprise-wide intranet portal solution by migrating data from The AA's existing Plumtree and Interwoven systems into a fully integrated solution based on Microsoft's SharePoint Portal Server and Content Management Server applications.

The AA is Europe's largest motoring organisation with over 15 million members and 5,000 staff.  As a result of its recent separation from parent company The Centrica Group, the company required an enterprise-wide intranet portal solution for its office-based users to help access and utilise operational information quickly and efficiently.

The end product was AAnnette – The AA's very own desktop portal.

 - Helps free up The AA's IT resource and reduce day-to-day IT involvement  and its associated costs.
 - Allows people and teams to be connected seamlessly with out-of-the-box functionality using familiar Microsoft Office tools.
 - Offers flexible tools to help deploy, customise and manage content and
applications which are relevant to business goals and processes across the
organisation.
