Edinburgh life is as fast-paced or easy-going as you make it. The city has all the amenities you would expect from Scotland’s capital, yet is small enough to easily walk around.
Getting to work
Our George Street office is a short walk from Edinburgh’s main bus and train stations, and within easy walking distance of the main bus and tram routes. This means you can commute from Edinburgh, its surrounding communities, and even further afield.
Central accommodation includes roomy Georgian townhouse apartments and cosy colony houses in Stockbridge. But most of the city is within a 40 minute commute, so you could be find a home in the areas around Edinburgh, or near the beach.
Taking a break
Being based in Edinburgh’s central area has its advantages when it comes to lunch. With shops, cafes and restaurants on our doorstep, it’s easy to do a quick spot of shopping or catch up with a friend over lunch.
Learning and studying
Edinburgh is a centre of learning, with nine of Scotland’s top 50 state schools, as well as 12 of the country’s 22 private schools. We also have two world-class universities, and one of the UK’s largest regional colleges.
In the evenings
Eating out in Edinburgh is a real treat with a diverse range of restaurants, fine dining and great gastropubs to choose from. There is also a vibrant pub culture, from chic new town bars to traditional real ale pubs.
The city is home to a range of cultural venues, including theatres, concert halls and cinemas. In August, the city really comes to life with the festivals – including the famous Edinburgh International Festival, the Fringe Festival – the world’s biggest arts festival – and many smaller festivals.
Out and about
Head out from the city and you’ll find scenic fishing villages, beautiful beaches and rolling hills. Getting out and active is easy whether you want a gentle stroll, a shopping trip or something more adrenaline-pumping.
