- Who we are
Michael, pictured below, has extensive experience, with 18 years as Scotland Director at e-Skills UK and The Tech Partnership. He is an expert at bringing together IT employers with the students and pupils who make up tomorrow’s workforce.
Our CEO, Andy Hamilton, said: “CompanyNet’s graduate and apprenticeship programmes demonstrate a clear commitment to finding and developing skilled young people. We also support important projects such as Computer Clubs for Girls, aimed at broadening the pool of talent and creating opportunities for everyone.
“Now, with Michael on board, we will develop our links with Scottish schools, colleges and universities to a new level. It’s a fresh approach to seeking out tomorrow’s talent that I believe will create rich rewards for the entire sector.”
Michael will be consulting for CompanyNet from the start of the year. He will develop our apprenticeship programme, now in its second year, further, and create an outreach programme for schools and colleges.
The aim is to create more opportunities for young people, such as placements for school pupils, and paid internships with our team for those at college or university. By strengthening our links to those in education and training, we will generate opportunities for young people to gain real-world experience that lines up with their learning.
