CompanyNet has a long history of delivering succesful SharePoint intranets. We are now happy to announce our first project built on SharePoint 2016, the latest on-premise incarnation of the platform, has been delivered for Newlon Housing Trust.
Newlon has hundreds of users managing 11,000 properties, and is responsible for looking after 27,000 people. The housing association came to us with an ambitious proposal to switch from their legacy Filestream document management system to SharePoint. They could see the benefit in moving to a solution that would offer complete, seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
The customer wanted an on-premise SharePoint solution for document management that could be connected to their Dynamics CRM platform and to their existing housing management system. We built on our experience with organisations like Estuary Housing Association and Hanover Housing Association, combined with our extensive SharePoint expertise. SharePoint 2016 was chosen because it was best-placed to manage the large amounts of data the organisation handles every day.
In a time when many businesses are moving to SharePoint Online, we recognise that there is still a place for SharePoint on-premise. Being based on the same codebase as SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2016 also offers a simplified route to the cloud, should they wish to make the move in the future.
