We’re running an event at our Edinburgh offices on Thursday 25th February with the Scottish Housing Regulator.
This free event is a fantastic opportunity for public sector professionals to hear how innovative business intelligence technology is being deployed in Scottish public sector organisations with enormous success.
Ahead of the presentation, here’s a lovely example of how implementing an innovative system immediately saved SHR time and money.
“The SHR has a statutory duty, handed down by the Scottish Government, to collect data about social housing landlords.
“Landlords made annual data submissions, and these weren’t in a standardised format. SHR were spending up to eight weeks every year validating them manually. The process required a small army of temporary staff, and also took away the attention of full-time SHR staff from other areas of business.
“Working with SHR, we developed a new online web portal for landlords to submit their annual returns. The portal has a standardised data entry system, with real-time form validation to ensure all the data returned is consistent.
“For the landlords, it’s an easier, more transparent process, with immediate feedback if they go wrong. For SHR, replacing the manual validation process represents a considerable ongoing cost saving. Freeing up SHR staff from laborious data entry and validation also lets them focus on the areas of the business were their skills are really needed.”
This is only a small part of the story of SHR’s digital transformation. Interested in attending? Reserve your place now for a chance to hear the full story, get your questions answered, and network with other professionals.
